Overview

TripLinq is an AI-powered collaborative travel planner: plan trips together, parse your bookings into a shared itinerary, split expenses across 50+ currencies, and keep the whole trip offline. I designed it, built it, and shipped it to both stores on my own.

FlutterDartSpring BootMySQLAWSLangChain / RAGiOSAndroid

The problem

Every group trip ends the same way: a 200-message WhatsApp thread, a Google Sheet nobody updates, and an awkward "so who paid for what?" at the airport.

The tools that exist either nag you to book through them for a commission, or quietly read your inbox. Travelers wanted something simple that just kept the plan and the money straight.

The approach

I scoped hard to a single loop — plan together → log expenses → settle up — and cut everything that didn't serve it. A LangChain/RAG pipeline reads your booking vouchers (PDFs, emails) and extracts the itinerary, costs and currencies, so there's no manual typing. Expenses split by family group, not just by head, because that's how real trips work.

Under the hood: a Flutter app talking to a Spring Boot + MySQL backend on AWS, all designed and built solo. No commissions, no inbox scanning — you control exactly what's shared.
